A note about Guppies. We will be including Guppies this year. The program will be parent driven and parents must be available to participate during the training session.

The Sessions are Sundays, with the exception of Saturday April 19 and May 10.  All Sessions are 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

We have a fleet of boats for charter if your junior sailor needs one. There are 12 Optis and 4 Lasers. We also have 8 C420s, which is a two person boat. Your junior sailor can either team up with someone or the instructors will help them find a partner.

Our goals this Season:
• Improve intermediate and advanced Sailors' skills and knowledge including race strategy, Racing Rules, and proper boat storage, maintenance/upkeep, and more.
• Use Certified Instructors to help build sailing confidence and skills
• Build LLSC team camaraderie and respect for each other, adults, and property
• Participate in Spring racing events at LLSC
• Support traveling to Junior Regattas
• HAVE FUN!

REGATTAS
The LLSC Junior Sailing Program will support traveling to 3 out-of-town regattas. These are SAYRA Grand Prix events.

ALL of these regattas have opportunities for Optis of all skill levels, Lasers (ILCA) and Club 420's.
Costs for Travel Regattas will be covered by the Sailors/Parents who attend.  (Please refer to each NOR for each travel event.)

Additionally we are participating in several Lake Lanier Sailing Club Regattas.

FEES:
We have had to increase the fee for 2024, due to rising costs associated with running a Junior Sailing Program. We are maintaining the same fees for 2025. By having a fee-based training program we:
• Promote “buy-in” from parents and sailors
• Can contract with US Sailing Certified Instructors for the whole season
• Streamline logistics and accounting for our volunteers and staff

"Quantity Discounts" are available for multiple children of the Member's immediate family. Unfortunately we cannot incorporate the discounts into the initial signup. A partial refund will be issued at a later date.

With special permission: Non-LLSC Members can enroll for an additional fee. Priority will be given to LLSC members for use of club owned boats.

Before participating in any Youth event governed by LLSC or the LLSC Junior Sailing Program  parents and junior sailors must acknowledge and agree to abide by a Code of Conduct. Parents will also be required to acknowledge and accept responsibility for damage to club owned boats. These forms will be available when you register online.

Thanks!
